I’m Allie, the face behind the spray tan gun and owner of A Spray of Sunshine!
I became a spray tan artist back in 2012 while I managed a local tanning salon. It quickly became my passion! Fast forward to 2016, I was put on early maternity leave with my son in July. I called my dad and told him that I was pulled out of work for the rest of my pregnancy. He said, "Here's your chance! Take my credit card and buy everything you need to start your own spray tanning business. You can do this! You're not going back to working 50–60-hour weeks once the baby is here!"
A Spray of Sunshine started in my kitchen in a pop-up tent. It then moved to 654 Metacom Ave. (the biggest thank you to my love for finding it for me and getting it up and running) with the cutest 5-month-old in tow. We had 4 walls, a pack & play, and a pop-up tent. To sit back and see where it is now.. It feels like a dream.
I've been spray tanning for over a decade now. So many of my clients have been with me from the very beginning. I've gotten to be a part of their proms, weddings, baby showers, vacations, and most of all, just when a pick-me-up was needed. These 4 walls hold so many stories & secrets.
