Everything you want to know before your glow ✨
Tan Care
before your appointment
To get the most even, long-lasting tan:
• Shower, exfoliate, and shave before your appointment
• Come in with clean, dry skin (no lotion, perfume, deodorant, or makeup)
• Wear loose, dark clothing to change into after your tan
• Sandals or flip flops are best—no sneakers if possible
Avoid:
• Tight clothing, bras, or anything that can rub
• Waxing, facials, or dermabrasion within 24 hours
• Jewelry during your appointment
after your tan
For the best results:
• Avoid water, sweating, or getting wet for at least 8 hours
• Wear loose, dark clothing until your first rinse
After your first shower:
• Moisturize daily (this is HUGE for how long your tan lasts)
• Use gentle products and avoid anything harsh or exfoliating
• Pat dry after showering—don’t rub
Avoid for longer-lasting results:
• Long hot showers, pools, hot tubs, and chlorine
• Anything that exfoliates your skin
We recommend that after every five weeks of spray-tanning, allow your skin to rest and take a few days off from tanning. This allows you to completely lose your sunless tan periodically, which helps eliminate patchiness or uneven areas of wear. These areas are caused by normal contact with clothing and other surfaces, which cause unintended exfoliation. Healthy, moist skin will retain the results of your sunless tanning session longer. Sunless spray results will vary by individual.
how to make your tan last longer
This is the secret:
👉 Moisturize. Then moisturize again. And then again.
• Hydrated skin = longer lasting tan
• Air dry when you can instead of rubbing with a towel
• Use a tan extender if you want to keep your glow even longer
products to be careful with
• Some products can cause your tan to fade faster:
• Oil-based products or heavy lotions
• Exfoliating scrubs or facial masks
• Acne products (salicylic acid, etc.)
• Retinol or anti-aging products
• Harsh soaps or body washes
• Shaving frequently (this naturally exfoliates the skin)
a quick heads up
• Every body is different 🤍
• Hormones (cycle, pregnancy, etc.) can affect how your tan develops
• Skin type plays a big role in how long your tan lasts
• Some people fade faster than others—and that’s totally normal
